The white dots

Is it possible to get caught in a routine when all you do is seeking adventure? Is the unknown just another monday morning and could you get caught in the wheel tracks of life when you never follow the trail?

I want to learn what I don't know, go where I haven't been, see new things and talk to people I haven't met. It is like an itch and as much as people love to get home after a trip I generally plan for the next on the flight home. I like my house though, don't get me wrong. It's just that my weakness is the unknown and and my strength is knowing I can do it, and I absolutely love it! You could probably see the fire in my eyes when I take the first step off track.

I choose the white dot on the map.

But you know, I always wear training gear, hiking gear and/or my loyal backpack, and the adventure always consists of a new location or race. To be fair, it's always some sort of physical challenge and I always get dirty somehow.

So this time I stuck my hand in the mixing hat of 3 am wine induced decisions and joined - a choir! A friend of mine asked me to and mind you it was apparently The Best Idea I've Ever Heard, so when I woke up the next morning I had a welcome email in my inbox.

It was awesome! I realized I'd gotten comfortable with my usual adventures and I was acutally a bit nervous when the hyper excited and super sweet teacher sang something impossible in a high note and proceeded to point at us and say "one, two, three - sing!"

So now I'm working new found muscles like the diaphragm, and my drum practicing neighbor has gotten himself some competition in the noise department.
