Training
Stiffness
You know how everything is soaked in that golden crisp morning haze and noone is really up and you feel invincible because you're not only up but also working out looking really elite because you wear a backpack and a buff? And the still half asleep people who are actually up are staring at you over their to go cup of coffee and you're like Goood morning sunshine!
Bright and chilly morning, perfect for running!
I've got somewhat stiff thighs yesterday but the calves and bum are mysteriously fine, so honestly I think my stride was better today because of the way I compensated with tippy toes and push. Tomorrow feels like it's going to be a "pour down on the floor whilst trying to get out of bed" or "I should invest in a butler" type morning so me and the sauna booked a meeting later to ease that.
I got a habit of spending between fifteen minutes and a girl talk in the sauna after the last workout session every day when I was training martial arts. It saved me! Now I just found out there's a sauna at my job for some reason so I use it every opportunity I get.
What are your muscle soreness remedies?
My top tips are besides heat; brag and get moving! I don't usually brag and I'm actually not telling you that you have to go tell people how much of a beast you are (or were yesterday at least), you can place yourself in front of a mirror and intensely think that to yourself. Then ouch poor me turns into yeah damn right I'm sore (and that's actually pretty nice)! To get moving is the best tip I think, that's why I always plan a slow run or fartlek two days post leg day.
